Continue reading »]]> Hello.  My name is Vonzella L. Watson. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that provides individual and family psychotherapy.   Using the systemic approach I recognize that what affects one part of the relationship will affect other parts of the relationship, therefore, I endeavor to maintain and restore relationships using techniques and therapeutic approaches such as, The Solution-Focused approach, Attachment Therapy, Emotion-Focus therapy, Experiential Couples Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.

After receiving a Master of Science in Family Therapy I interned at the Child Abuse Prevention Association where I provided therapeutic intervention services to couples, children, adolescents, and adults using individual and family treatment.  I also provided Educational Training on Bullying to the community which included children, teens and adults and I provided Educational Training for Women’s group.

I served in the U. S. Air Force as an Emergency Medical Technician and as a medic who provided patient intake and emergency care.  I also managed a variety of medical offices while coordinating the Out-patient Shaving Clinic operations.

I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapist and The American Association of Christian Counselors.  I also obtained my membership at PSI CHI, The International Honor Society In Psychology and at AmeriCorps National Service Network of Volunteers.

I have a strong desire to support and serve my community, which is why I am very active in my church as their musician.  I’m also a Sunday School teacher and the Coordinator of our New Church Membership Classes.

I am currently working as a private therapist and owner of the Collaborative Family Solutions center in Leawood, Kansas where I endeavor to maintain and restore relationships using techniques and therapeutic approaches such as, The Solution-Focused approach, Attachment Therapy, Emotion-Focus therapy, Experiential Couples Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.  It will be my pleasure to work with you.
